Case Study: Build a caseload in 8 weeks as a Cash Based Physical Therapist
When we first started together 8 weeks ago, Claire felt confident in her clinical skills and she knew there was a need for personalized care in her hometown(s).
I love that she offers availability both where she grew up and an hour a way where she settled. Why choose between the neighborhood you were raised in and the neighborhood you’re raising a child in when you can serve both.
The areas where she felt somewhat insecure as a business owner were:
1. Time management: splitting attention between a PRN role and growing her practice.
2. Setting specific quarterly goals and tracking the right things to see objective growth; basically understanding “how I’m doing on paper.”
3. The biggest obstacle was how to continue to grow and obtain new patients, with the first landmark being 10 visits per week.
During the program we focused on improving the patient experience at Beyond Physical Therapy MN. From how a potential patient might find the practice all the way past discharge: website, search ranking, scheduling, cash versus insurance discussion, intake process, treatment plans, booking the whole POC on day 1, patient testimonials, referral networking, follow up post d/c… the WORKS 🛠️
In doing this we were able to pinpoint the important metrics (KPIs) to track in her practice for her specific goals. By the end of the program, her confidence around reviewing financial reports and KPIs went from a 2/5 to a 5/5. You could say she understands how she’s “doing on paper” now!
I absolutely love the psychological aspect of patient care and business, so the fact that Claire walked away understanding how to market by “thinking from the patient’s perspective” is my favorite outcome of our time together.
I’m so proud of Claire’s effort and dedication to grow her one on one practice in the neighborhoods, Hutchinson and Waconia Minnesota.
